It's hard to believe that a person could be locked up and the key thrown away over the words of guilty teenagers. There's only a few people who know the truth in the case. It is in my opinion riddled with reasonable doubt. Those kids would've said anything to save themselves and their lawyers and their parents would've wanted them to. Stay strong and don't give up.

I remember the time when Pamela was on trial as if it were yesterday. It is hard to imagine how she could have gotten a fair trial with the media circus that went on. She was pretty much convicted the minute she stepped into the courtroom.

I have met Pame Smart, visited her on several occasions and know she is someone who does not deserve to be behind bars for the rest of her life. There are those who take the lives of one or more people and spend less than 10 years in prison. Pame Smart took the life of no one and has spent half of her natural life behind bars and has no chance of parole. What more punishment is she obligated to pay to society? I pray for Pame and for her freedom, I think my tax dollars should keep real criminals behind bars, not someone who has the potential to be an intelligent, mature, contributing member of society like Pame Smart. May God bless her and us all.

Innocent or guilty, Pame Smart deserves a new, fair trial. She was convicted by a media influenced, non-sequestered jury influenced bunch of folks who concentrated on a short series of poorly taped conversations with a teenage girl. There was more "static hiss" on these tapes than understandable dialogue. I have the trial on video tape and anyone listening to these tapes could not understand more than a few words here and there of what was said and who said what. How could one person be sentenced to a life without parole sentence based on such pathetic evidence? As I mentioned, guilty or innocent, give this woman a fair trial where the evidence is clear, uncut and comprehensable. To be honest, these tapes sound like the police were busy running a blender in the background while trying to record meaningful dialogue. I guess the donut shop was closed that day and they decided to make milkshakes instead!!

To the Wojas Family,

First: I did not follow this case so I am not privy to all facts, this is just what I feel at this time.

At this point, I believe that if she had any part in the murder of her husband she has paid the price. It seems to me that the legal system forgets what being young and immature is. We all make mistakes; some more costly than others. She wasn't there when the murder happened. She wasn't the one to pull the trigger. If she did mastermind the whole thing; she didn't force anyone to do anything that they didn't choose to do on their own. She has sat in prison for 20 years and had to live with the decisions that she made. That is a tough punishment in its own right.

I want to believe in her innocence. I feel for her. I wish I could help her. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know.

I felt for her back then. I was 23 years old at the time and felt so sorry for the spectacle the media created around her.

I would like to write to her if she wouldn't mind. I'm currently attending college and would love some input on some of my classes. Congratulations Pam on those degrees!

Oh, I am not so interested in what happened. It's not about that. I believe that this woman has served enough time for a murder that she did not commit. If she could use a friend.....

Anyway, please give her my best. If she would like to write, please e-mail me so I can give you my home address. I don't want to post it on here.

Sincerely,
K. McNeill
